TGB Group LBE Light Series Slewing Drives
The LBE series are low weight slewing drives with aluminum housing. This model reduces considerably the total weight, specially designed for applications where weight is critical.
The external sealing of this industrial slew drive consists of an external lip which provides high protection against dust, water and other external elements.
Technical specifications
It includes up to 5 easy access direct lubrication points to ensure that the raceway is always in optimum condition for a smooth movement.
This rotation unit can be driven on both sides of the screw worm by either an hydraulic motor, an electric motor or manually.
This slewing drive has been specially designed for applications with significant weight restrictions, such as vehicles with aerial platforms.
In contrast to the BE Standard Series, the housing of the LBE is made of aluminium, considerably reducing its overall weight.
Like all our slewing drives, the lightweight LBE series is UV light resistant and can be given a variety of more advanced paint treatments for more hostile environments to prevent corrosion.
Sizes can be in metric or imperial so that it will be 100% compatible with the final application.
It can be supplied with keyed or splined shaft.

LBE Light Series Models
The LBE Light Series models differ mainly in their maximum axial load capacity, allowable tilting moment, as well as their diameter and weight, allowing them to cover a wide range of light-duty and industrial applications. As the series progresses, the models offer higher load capacities and greater tilting moments, adapting to larger equipment or applications that require increased structural and operational margins.
LBE100-Z0
Compact model with a maximum axial load of 3.6 kN and a tilting moment of 300 kNm, suitable for light robotics applications and precision equipment where low weight and reduced size are key factors.LBE236-Z1
With an axial load capacity of 11.2 kN and a tilting moment of 500 kNm, this model is suitable for aerial platforms and compact machinery, offering a balanced combination of performance and dimensions.LBE314-Z1
Designed to support axial loads of up to 27.5 kN and a tilting moment of 700 kNm, it is suitable for agricultural machinery and small cranes that require increased capacity without a significant increase in weight.
LBE435-Z1
This model reaches a maximum axial load of 75 kN and a tilting moment of 900 kNm, making it a common choice for compact excavators and light industrial machinery.LBE500-Z0
The highest-capacity model within the light series, with a maximum axial load of 102.4 kN and a tilting moment of 1,000 kNm, intended for more demanding applications such as heavy machinery and offshore environments.
| Model | Maximum axial load (kN) | Maximum tilting moment (kNm) | Diameter (mm) | Weight (kg) | Recommended applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LBE100-Z0 | 3.6 | 300 | 100 | 20 | Light robotics, precision equipment |
| LBE236-Z1 | 11.2 | 500 | 236 | 35 | Aerial platforms, compact machinery |
| LBE314-Z1 | 27.5 | 700 | 314 | 50 | Agricultural machinery, small cranes |
| LBE435-Z1 | 75 | 900 | 435 | 70 | Industrial automation, lifting systems |
Customization options for LBE Light Series Slewing Drives
The LBE Light Series slewing drives offer configuration options that allow their integration into different types of light-duty and industrial machinery, facilitating adaptation to design requirements without the need to modify the mechanical assembly.
Among the available options, the shaft configuration is considered, as well as compatibility with metric and imperial systems, which simplifies integration into equipment intended for different markets or technical standards.
In addition, LBE slewing drives can be supplied with customized finishes, such as different colors or paint treatments, aimed at improving corrosion protection or meeting specific requirements of the final equipment.
These possibilities make the LBE series a flexible solution for applications where weight, size, and mechanical integration are determining factors.
How to select the right LBE Slewing Drive
The selection of the LBE slewing drive must be based on a technical analysis of the application to ensure reliable and safe long-term operation.
The first criterion to consider is the maximum axial load and tilting moment that the system must withstand during operation. These parameters define the most suitable LBE model within the series, avoiding oversizing or unnecessary stress.
It is also important to evaluate the type of equipment and intended application, especially in light machinery, robotics, or compact equipment, where the balance between capacity, size, and weight is critical to overall system performance.
Finally, dimensional compatibility and shaft configuration must be verified to ensure correct integration with the drive system and the rest of the mechanical components.
If needed, TGB Group’s technical team can assist in selecting the most suitable LBE slewing drive according to actual operating conditions.
